For 2 years the Sony NEX-3 has been something I asked for for Christmas and my birthday and all though the years. The day before my birthday (it was a surprise birthday :)) my family and close friends surprised me with the camera on the left. I couldn't thank them enough. I felt that before i couldn't really be called a photographer with my iPhone pictures or my water camera. The quality of the photo just was not anything compared to a professional camera. The great thing about this camera is that it has all the capability of a DSLR camera but it's compact. I am so grateful for my family and friends for this amazing gift.
The camera on the right was given to me by a very special person. I told him how in love I am with the feel of a film photo and camera. I remember when I was younger going to rolls of film and disposable cameras taking picture of whoever wanted to be my subject. The Canon camera that Ricardo gave to is a camera from the 70's, when (from what he told me) was one of Canon's early detachable lens cameras. Even the batteries have to be specially ordered because they are not sold everywhere. I have yet to use it because I need to buy batteries but I can't wait to take film photos with this amazing camera! I am so grateful for him and I was completely surprised by it. He's the best!
Both of these cameras are great tools for my project topic and I can't wait to utilize them!
