Blog 26: Senior Project Reflection

(1) Positive Statement

What are you most proud of in your 2-Hour Presentation and/or your senior project? Why?
I was proud that I actually made time. Throughout this whole year the term "2 hour" has been haunting me. Even though I didn't hit the whole 2 hours, I made my time. The nerves did get to me when I was presenting but I made time. Overall, my whole proejct went well. It didn't hit me how much information I had retained until I was presenting and looking back so many good things have happened for my my "photo career" which I am extremely proud of.
(2) Questions to Consider

What assessment would you give yourself on your 2-Hour Presentation (self-assessment)?

I would give myself a P-. I forgot some of my information while I was presenting and I was rushing through my information which made me struggle to meet the time. Even an AP+ would be fine. I feel like I could've done better but I did put a lot of effort in my set up and trying to organize the little labs I had set up.

b. What assessment would you give yourself on your overall senior project (self-assessment)?

On my overall senior project I feel like I did a good amount of work and I had a great mentor to guide me through my year which is where I got alot of my experience from and helped me to develop my product. I feel that I was proficient through my senior project.

(3) What worked for you in your senior project?

What worked for me in my project was my research in my last couple months. At the beginning of the year my research was focused on a different area in photography. If you were to compare the beginning of my research to the end of my research, they are entirely different fields of photography. That last bit of research was what really jump started my presentation.

(4) (What didn't work) If you had a time machine, what would have you done differently to improve your senior project if you could go back in time?

I would have started the researching the type of research I was looking up toward the beginning of the year and all the way through the end. My most relevant research didn't come to me till the end of my search but if I would've started sooner with that type of research consistantly, my overall project and presentation would have been better.

(5) Finding Value

How has the senior project been helpful to you in your future endeavors? Be specific and use examples.

I want photography to be incorporated into my future and thrrough my senior project I have found a new form of photography that will allow me to utilize photography with my future biology major. My major might change in the future but I can use photography to support whatever career I pursue. I see my career being related to science in some way and I hope I can use my photography skills to support it all thanks to my senior project and my great mentor.
